If love was a highway it would be eight lanes on both sides and very likely rush hour at all times. It is obviously very difficult- or maybe very brave- or both- to commit ourselves to love. Most of us have been hurt and have had our ability to trust affected accordingly. Writing this song helped remind me that the time I have spent alone and in communion with myself has made me ready to try, to trust, and to love another.
