These songs stretch thousands of miles, from coast to coast, from frantic seeking to long, slow views. I came to California as so many before have done, looking for wealth, spirituality, identity, adventure and purpose. I needed a new vision. I sought to unlearn, explore, and re-make myself. It took nearly 20 years, and the ride was everything unexpected and nothing I could have foreseen; it was as it was supposed to be and I am grateful, better, and changed.

I stand now on the cusp of another great adventure. My family and I are headed back east, to the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. These songs are threads of that adventure, stretching off in every direction. Together they weave a story of our time, a story of work and family, of country and countryside, of nature, spirit, injustice, love, past, present, future and absolution.
